A wonderful upload for quite a few reasons.
This is from 1961 AIR program ..( Smt.MS was 45 then) .Secondly all the songs are on Lord Ramachandra. Her rendition of poems from Kamba RamaayaNam are not commonly available in the web. And a few slokams from Vakmiki set to music.
Two great kruthis of Thyagaraja Swami one extolling the virtues of RaamaRajjyam.
A rarely heard Periyaazhvaar Paasuram. and from Arunachala kavi.
The vintage classic ennaganu raama bajana of Bhadrachalam Raamadasu.

Between 1940 and 1952, Smt.MS was at her peak, in her voice, theme of her songs, benefit concerts and All-India reach. Those golden years survive only through her 78 RPM records. - numbering more than 50- excluding her songs in Meera ( Tamizh and Hindi) and the other three films.. The best of them were around 1947. Unfortunately, not a single concert is available today. ..There may be a few in the Archives of Music Academy, and Indian Fine Arts Society.
